Today.......is just a day, like any other. *Grins* Though thankfully it comes after two days lacking in the usual stresses of work. I went to a fantastic performance and got my first taste of lamb stew. So much nicer tasting than beef. :D One of my roleplaying characters is becoming my favorite. I can literally see SO many different avenues she can travel down. Fiction & Fanfiction Progress Report:
- 'Pivot' - a Buffy: the Vampire Slayer slashfic. Chapter Six, named "Subterfuge" is now up. I need to actually re-read the chapter myself (Actually it should be the entire story, but meh...) to get a handle on where I am. Chapter seven, still untitled will soon be going into production.
- 'Improbable' - a Kim Possible fanfic. Chapter 3, entitled "All About Me" is in progress. Really! I've already finished the first page.
- 'Revisited Pasts' - Personally requested... no longer being updated! Final decision. There's just no point to writing something like that. I've also had a bit of a falling out with the requestor, so...that made it an easy decision! :-D
- 'Prisoner' - original fic... on hiatus still. But that might be changing soon.
- 'Under A Primal Sky' - An UBER Xena: Warrior Princess piece of fiction... Chapter 1...still waiting to be typed.
- 'Contracts & Disclosurs' - A Xena: Warrior Princess fanfic. Chapter 1 still untitled, but now in progress.
- 'Battle of the Sexes' - An original romance novel. I last touched it in 2001 and am revamping and revising and rewriting (telling me those three words all mean the same will lose you points! It's for emphasis dangit!) the entire 120+ pages from scratch. Adding on will be a better title, better dialogue and a helluva lot more maturity.
Other tidbits?Strangely enough, I haven't yet finished the book: "Wicked"...not as of yet. I've been spending time between rp posts, looking at other fanfics, drooling over some of them and reading severely cheesy romance novels. I'm thinking the story I'll be writing will be a lot more advanced. I've been pretty worried lately. Such to the extent that I was sufficiently distracted from most of the roleplaying I had been doing. Imagine THAT, huh? Also, school is starting back up soon. Today....July 31th! Today will make this the 6th entry I've made for my author's notes. Kind of... Haha! I've been reading a helluva lot more and writing more. I figure, "Hey! If'n I can write more in posts for roleplay, then maybe just maybe I can write more for my readers." Fiction & Fanfiction Progress Report:

- 'Prisoner' - original fic... on hiatus still. But that might be changing soon.
- 'Under A Primal Sky' - An UBER Xena: Warrior Princess piece of fiction... Chapter 1 is going to be worked on tonight. Only for uploads on deviantart or fictionpress.
Other tidbits?Currently, I'm reading a book entitled "Wicked - The Life And Times Of The Wicked Witch Of The West". It's written by Gregory Maquire and oh my lord, it's fantastic! I got halfway through it the day after it arrived in the mail. And that was with me casually reading it. I'm slowing down now...trying to savor it more, if you will. Why mail you ask? Well....I am a tiny bit reclusive... And since I like this book so much, I'll be setting some monies aside to go buy the sequel: "Son Of A Witch". Yeah... I know you all were thinking that word with a B in front. DON'T LIE! I've been collecting webpages like candy now for some odd reason. I've recently joined myspace and Youtube. o.O Why? I've had a setback. :-O Nooo! I've been really dragging my feet with the whole writing the chapter bit. And I realize that's wrong. Because my obvious genius should be shared with the world!! Haha! Honestly, I'm no where near that arrogant. I did read from someone who was though. Pitiful. I've often spoken about the chasm between artists and writers. The artists think they're the shit because they draw pictures that immediately draw people in (fanart & fetish artists mainly from what I've seen). The writers are actually the ones you want to watch for and if you get an artist that is a writer, then bravo. Another issue is artists who act like writers. The difference between comic books and books is that what you would take 24 pages to do in a comic, can be done in 1 page of writing. On the other hand, the comic books allow you to see what the artist does. Kind of nice, very much so. Writers, not by choice, are a lot more critical of their work because the story could stall in their minds at any moment. Artists notice what people like and keep tossing it out. Plus, if they do comics, they have a LOT more time to develop everything. The story could only be written 10 pages and it would take them many times that number in days to draw the story out. One storyline webcomic I read took 6 months in real time.... So obviously, it took me some time to read. Because I had to wait for pages to load to the next comic. The thing is, that might have been a 15-30 page story. And what a good one it was though! I'm a writer firstly and foremost. For the past 13 years, I've been doing stories. Drawing I didn't like because it seemed like a lot of work to do...for something that only captured one moment. I'm not dissing artists no, but claiming they're far better than writers is an insult. Having words pulls a story together faster than a picture will. Fiction & Fanfiction Progress Report:
- 'Pivot' - a BtVS slashfic. Chapter 5, titled "Destined" in progress still. It's mostly written actually...just need to finish polishing off details.
- 'Improbable' - a Kim Possible fanfic. Chapter 2, entitled "The Deserving Ones" posted.
- 'Revisited Pasts' - Personally requested... on hiatus!
- 'Prisoner' - original fic... on hiatus until I can think of all the psychological stuff I'll be writing without panicking.
- 'Under A Primal Sky' - An UBER Xena: Warrior Princess piece of fiction... Chapter 1 still awaiting revision... I actually had some inspiration so work on getting the first chapter out will be beginning soon.
Other tidbits?My author audio notes shalt be no more! Because honestly, I've spent too much money on the bloody phones and then they only have a lifespan of maybe 4 months before I have to replace them! Yes, my old pair died recently and I gave them a proper burial in a garbage bag. *sighs...* In closing I'm just better than you all will ever be and you need to realize that! -Sarcasm

It's like a weird tango. And yet... I keep after her. Maybe I'm masochistic. Me depressed though...usually means that my want to continue writing is killed. We'll see, haha! I've been using Open Office for chapter 5 of Pivot... It makes me a wee bit nervous. The program, not the chapter. Because Open Office seems kinda fickle. Eh... Because I really do wanna be a bard and a shadow realmy person! Also... I'll note that I used to go to a server called "The Forgotten Realm" on a NWN2 server. I'll start uploading the entries of my favorite character there before I left. Macha Alhertine (narcissistic much?). I'm debating...after posting her entries actually continuing her stories. I've always enjoyed Fantasy and Forgotten Realm books. We'll see, eh? *Chuckles.* Alls well that ends well.

Lots of time is now going to cooking and cleaning stuff. And bonding with my car. And no! Stretching out on the hood of said car and saying: "I love you" is completely normal! Heh. Other tidbits?I keep sitting and thinking over prices and such... It is a helluva lot cheaper to be an author. Because main prices come from ink useage and paper. But then...it's harder being seen as well. Most people are likely to click on something to look at it on DeviantArt if it's a drawing or a photograph...CG or the like. Being a writer SUCKS!
